I Am Yet To Make Three Million Off My Songs – Onos

Nigerian gospel singer Onos Ariyo who hardly needs an introduction, with over 8 years in the industry and several awards and recognition’s in the bag, has consistently churned out songs, giving her a strong presence.

In an interview with Entertainment News on Channels Television Onos explained her doubts on any gospel singer making up to three million off their music and how ‘Alagbara’ was her biggest hit.

She said “The sales of album is not what it used to be in 2009, it is a lot better, I can say that because I know I sold my album in 2009 and now in 2017 I know how it has been, we are not there yet because as a gospel singer you can’t even say you made three million off the sales of how many copies yet but the truth is, it is getting better.

Her most popular single till date remains the 2014 track, ‘Alagbara’ which receives a remix on the new album.

“The version on the ‘No limits album is very slow, it is whatever you sell to the people that they will take so I felt since I sold the past one to them, why don’t I remake it and put it in this new album.

The new project which she started working on in 2015 was released in July 2017, at an album launch concert in Lagos.

With a total of three albums,’keep moving’ which was released in 2010, ‘No limits’ released in 2014 and the newly released songs ‘From The Place Of Prayer’album, in her kitty, Onos continues to put in the work to promote her brand.

” I think I’ve evolved with time, I have grown and my songs have grown. I think it has to do with staying through to the vision and purpose and that in a way has also helped the growth that I see today in my music and me.

The songs from the place of prayer concert also featured Sammy Okposo, Tim Godfrey and the Xtreme crew.
