Security, Welfare Topmost Priority – Bauchi Governor

The Governor of Bauchi State, Mohammed Abubakar, says his government is paying serious attention to security challenges in the state and the welfare of the security agencies.

Speaking on employment plans of the State, as a guest on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, the Governor said that a private cleaning company had been hired to employ youths and women to clean the State.

He said that the State planned to go into agriculture and that the government had set up three farming communities in the three senatorial districts of the state which will also serve as a means of employment for the youths.

The Governor further stated that he planned to mechanise agriculture in an affordable way that will benefit the youths.

In the area of primary health-care, the Governor expressed his dissatisfaction on the areas where the health-cares are located which was built in the last regime.

Mr  Abubakar gave an assurance that the State had trained medical personnel to handle them.

The Governor, who recently visited the Czech Republic to woo investors, said he had gotten experts to check the lands in the state if they were fit for irrigation, stressing that “that irrigation of lands will also help in engaging the youths and prevent unemployment”.
