National-Conference-delegatesThe meeting of delegates at Nigeria’s National Conference has begun with delegates considering sitting arrangements, infrastructural needs, and the general procedure that the conference will take.

The conference was officially inaugurated on Monday by President, Goodluck Jonathan, who tasked the delegates on looking at issues that would make Nigeria better.

He also asked them to shun ethnicity and sectionalism in order to achieve a reasonable result at the end of the conference that would last for three months.

At least 492 delegates are expected to be present at the Tuesday’s meeting which commenced a little behind schedule.

Deliberations started immediately after the chairman of the conference, Justice Idris Kutigi and his management team arrived at the venue.

Already, the delegates have been informed that the plenary sessions would be from Monday to Thursday each week.
